Custom Plastic Injection Molding Services

Established in 2002 in Huangyan, Taizhou—China’s Mould City—YonLion coordinates custom injection molding projects from material and DFM review through mold trials, sample approval, inspection, assembly, packaging and production handover for consumer, appliance, automotive and industrial applications.

Our Capability

  • Mold design and manufacture
  • Material selection support, DFM report
  • Injection molding
  • Painting, chroming, silk or heat-transfer printing
  • Assembly and functionality testing
  • Packaging customization

YonLion organizes the commercial and engineering interface for molding projects. The relevant production partner, machine range, material source, assembly steps and inspection responsibility are confirmed for the actual part rather than presented as blanket company-owned capacity.

The project scope can include DFM, tooling, trials, molding, secondary operations, assembly and packing where each stage is feasible and identified in the quotation.

Before production approval, the buyer receives the agreed evidence package, which may include samples, molding settings, dimensional results, appearance records and packing photos.

How the Project Is Controlled

Defined Commercial Scope

The quotation states the assumptions for material, tooling, trial quantity, inspection, assembly, packing and logistics.

Evidence Before Approval

Trial samples, settings, measurements, appearance checks and correction records support milestone decisions.

Project Coordination

A named contact coordinates buyer requirements with the relevant molding, assembly and material partners.

Milestone Planning

Production timing follows sample approval and unresolved corrections rather than an automatic immediate-start promise.

Material and Quality Evidence

Project documentation is agreed by scope. It may include supplier material data, lot or color references, injection settings, trial samples, dimensional checks and packing evidence. Certificates are identified by issuer, holder, scope and validity before they are used as proof.

FAQs

What materials are used for plastic injection molding?

Different applications use different materials. PP is widely used for commodity products. PMMA (acrylic) offers excellent transparency. HDPE is UV-stable and suitable for outdoor products. ABS and PA66 (nylon) are common for engineering products because of their impact resistance and lower shrinkage.

What are the main defects to avoid in plastic injection molding?
  1. Dimensional tolerance: managed through design review, process controls and pilot production.
  2. Ejector pin marks: minimized through suitable ejector placement and cooling parameters.
  3. Color difference: controlled against Pantone references during trial and mass production.
  4. Other defects: bubbling, burns, delamination, burrs, flow marks, short shots, weld lines and warping are prevented through proper tooling, material, temperature, pressure and cooling controls.
How do I find a suitable plastic injection molding manufacturer?

Look beyond price. The manufacturer should have relevant industry experience, suitable equipment, quality controls and the right production scale. For small and medium orders, a well-managed medium-scale factory can often provide more responsive service and competitive pricing.

What is the plastic injection molding process?
  1. Feed plastic resin into the machine hopper.
  2. Heat and melt the resin.
  3. Inject the molten material into the mold cavity.
  4. Hold pressure to compensate for shrinkage.
  5. Cool and solidify the part.
  6. Open the mold and eject the part.
  7. Trim, finish or assemble as required.
  8. Inspect and package the finished products.
